Jeff Sarkozi, M.D., F.R.C.P.C.,F.A.C.R. is an internationally trained and experienced rheumatologist and internal medicine specialist with more than 25 years of experience in clinicalpractice and research. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons, Canada in both Rheumatology and Internal Medicine and a Fellow of the American College of Rheumatology. Dr.Sarkozi has specialized within the field of Rheumatology in the diagnosis and management of patients with unexplained chronic widespread musculoskeletal pain and fibromyalgia for over two decades and has seen thousands of patients with chronic widespread musculoskeletal pain and fibromyalgia. Dr. Sarkozi is a well known advocate for developing improved strategies for the diagnosis andmanagement of patients with chronic widespread musculoskeletal pain and fibromyalgia. Dr. Sarkozi’s extensive clinical practice experience combined with his clinical research expertise forms the foundation through which he has researched, developed, and patented numerous unique orthotic devices and created original, innovative treatment programs to relieve symptoms and improve function in patients with fibromyalgia and other arthritic conditions.
Dr. Sarkozi has served as an Associate Clinical Professor in the Division of Rheumatology and ClinicalImmunology at the University of California,Irvine where he was well known for establishing unique and highly successful clinical programs in the diagnosis and treatment of fibromyalgia and chronic widespread musculoskeletal pain. He subsequently established and continues to direct the community practice based Fibromyalgia Polypain Arthritis Center, the only community rheumatology setting devoted to fibromyalgia and chronic widespread musculoskeletal pain in California.
In addition, Dr. Sarkozi serves as a consultant,advisor, and medical expert to the legal profession, industry, and insurance companies regarding musculoskeletal pain, fibromyalgia, and other rheumatic diseases including their relationships to trauma and environmental exposures.He is also a consultant to media regarding fibromyalgia, chronic widespread musculoskeletal pain, rheumatology conditions, and health care issues.
Dr. Sarkozi has published numerous research articles and commentaries in peer journals and has lectured extensively throughout North America on numerous rheumatology topics including chronic widespread musculoskeletal pain and fibromyalgia.
